Mansfield Computing Solutions (MCS) is a locally owned and operated computer solutions and repair company focusing on the needs of small to medium sized businesses and individuals. David Mansfield: Owner of Mansfield Computing Solutions
I have always dreamed of owning my own business. Although I have many passions such as technology, gardening, the environment, my beautiful wife, and sports, my love and aptitude for computer technology gives me the skills I need to best help my customers. I have always wanted to know how things work. As a child, I asked a thousand questions about the technology around me. By the age of ten, I was tearing apart radios and kitchen appliances. As a young adult, I began working on cars with my father. I majored in computer science in college, got my Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE), A+ and Network+ Certifications. During my 10 years at IBM and Lenovo, I was a technical trainer and writer training field technicians, internal employees, and customers on everything from Storage Area Network (SAN) storage solutions and backup solutions to all technical aspects of Lenovo Think Servers, Think Stations, Secure Managed Client (SMC) solutions, and Think Pads. Also during my 10 years at IBM and Lenovo I was the systems’ administrator and a hardware and software technician for our department of 50 people. I supported our seven clustered servers and performed all desktop and laptop support. Today, I am creating computing solutions, managing customers’ computers and servers, correcting computer and technology related problems, and repairing all kinds of technology-based issues for small to medium sized businesses. I have always had a talent for fixing things. My motto is, “If it can be fixed, I can fix it!”
